Wholesale Military Goods
A brief look at the online sites and print
catalogs should convince anyone that there is a lot more
to the world of wholesale military goods than the traditional
Army/Navy stores. Enthusiasts and collectors have searched
these traditional outlets for years to try and find clothing,
boots, patches, outdoor gear and more at greatly reduced
prices.
The army/navy path to inexpensive wholesale
military goods is still there, of course, and many
of the distributors and suppliers who scour the world for
products work with these stores in some way. But if you
want to find jackets, boots, tools etc. that would have
been used by one of the branches of the military, there
are dozens of places to shop. Not only that, but the prices
are amazingly low.
As was mentioned earlier, many wholesale military goods
suppliers buy military items in good condition and help keep
the traditional outlets stocked. But these same merchants
will sell to other retail shops, resellers and enthusiasts,
including the flea market crowd and swap meet junkies. They
spend a lot of time and money buying military surplus, not
only in the United States but also countries around the world.
Their goal - distributing to other wholesalers and to retail
stores for resale.
One of the key factors working in the
wholesale military goods business is the tremendous amount
of overstock that army, navy and air force organizations
have. When it comes to getting camping equipment, survival
gear, clothing and so on, most people will make their first
choice a "brick
and mortar" store that carries the Army/Navy banner.
But for those interested in establishing a reselling shop
in the wholesale military goods trade, the best source can
be the same suppliers who take truckloads of goods to these
stores.
Many suppliers of wholesale military goods work only with
established retail sites that have a state sales tax number
and other business license information. Some sell only to
authorized retail sites that display the company banner.
In many cases, these merchants have minimum order requirements
that may be too high for the individual buyer. This system
is designed to be a true wholesale to retail path, with the
final product getting to the end user over the retail counter.
But, if you are an individual looking
for a particular set of fatigues, new boots or some hardware
item, do not despair. There are also discount warehouses
that sell directly to the public. While prices may not
be quite as low as if the purchase was made by the pallet
or truckload, the cost will still be quite a bit below
retail. Tip: Keep in mind that most of this inventory is
sold "as is." Warranties
and guarantees may be very limited or non-existent.
Here are a few examples of wholesale
military goods that can be purchased at low, low prices.
There are sturdy navy pea coats for less than $90. One
vendor offers a container of 30 inflatable life vests that
may be purchased for just over $1 each. You may be able
to find a leather flight jacket (United States Navy) for
about $125, or excellent binoculars for 25 percent less
than wholesale. Wholesale military goods are big business
and you can be part of it.
