Wholesale Computers
In the past 30 years,
it would have been hard to find an industry growing faster
than the world of computers. The sheer number of computers
available in the recent past has created a whole new industry – wholesale
computers. Dozens of warehouse companies, technology/repair
businesses and brokers have established profitable ventures
in wholesale computers, and the greatest benefits have been
to the end user.
But in addition to the individual user who can get prices
on wholesale computers directly from large-volume merchants,
there are middlemen who buy wholesale computers and parts
in huge lots, then pass them on to the end user at low, low
prices. As with most true wholesale businesses, some of the
first line warehouses sell only to those who provide sales
tax information and business license information as established
shops and resellers. But no matter how the wholesale computers
get to their final destination, the bargains are there to
be had.
When purchasing any product on a discount or wholesale basis,
it is always good to completely understand the policies of
the company you are buying from, as well as any guarantees
on the product itself. Many, in fact most, merchants in the
wholesale computers industry offer their inventory on an
as-is basis, meaning that no guarantees or warranties are
stated or implied. With most wholesale computers warehouses
and suppliers, if problems arise after the product is delivered,
issues must be resolved with the manufacturer. Tip: Always
make sure you understand where you will have to go with electronic
or mechanical problems, whether you buy as a reseller or
as the end user.
Where do all these computers, monitors, keyboards and other
accessories come from. Many sources actually. There are merchants
in the wholesale computers industry who work with liquidations
almost exclusively. These suppliers get their equipment from
stores that are completely clearing inventory of models on
their shelves or in their back rooms. Often these lots are
large enough to be moved from the store to the liquidator's
warehouse by the truckload or rail container load.
In addition, a good portion of the wholesale
computers for sale come from overstock, when warehouses
and retail stores have too many of one model on hand and
want to move them out. Stores and warehouses also make
room for new models at year end or at another specific
time, so wholesale computers become available at amazing
prices at various times. Tip: Keep an eye open for those
end of life items. In the computer business, this occurs
on a regular basis as new technology takes over the industry.
If the buyer is careful to get wholesale computers that
are capable of running at least some of the current software,
the prices can be irresistible. Perfectly usable laptops
can be purchased for $500 to $700, with the capability of
performing most of the modern day tasks that computers have
in front of them. Desktop models are offered for even less,
with massive discounts if the purchaser wants multiple units.
With low prices and good service, many wholesale computers
merchants are attracting new customers every day.
